When you travel to Colorado, there is no shortage of things to do. You can party in the big city, climb mountains, ski, snowboard and participate in a wide variety of family activities. However, many travelers do not know that you can also visit breweries in Colorado. You had several different options, so it is important to investigate your choices to find the perfect place to visit.
Fortunately, you can easily perform all the necessary research on the Internet before your trip even begins. First, consider where in Colorado you will be visiting. You likely do not want to spend one whole day of vacation driving just to visit a brewery. Try to find a brewery that is within one hour of your location.
Next, check out the operating hours of the breweries that interest you. Some breweries offer guided tours at certain times, while others are less formal. It is also important to note any restrictions regarding brewery tours. Some do not allow any visitors under the age of 18.
If you want to read about other travelers’ visits to breweries, check out some online review sites. This will let you know what other visitors liked and disliked about the breweries in Colorado.

Beer tasting is a hobby for many as the joy that comes with tracking down and finding the right brew, micro brew or even elusive brand can be something of an exciting challenge. One of the best ways that those who truly enjoy beer like to spend some time is to go to breweries and festivals that offer beer tasting. You can use a few tips to get the best pricing for beer tastings when you keep just a few things in mind. You can buy tickets in advance to save some money and you may also be able to get last minute deals if you wait until right before any scheduled tasting is slated. You’ve got some great excuses to step away from all the great direct tv channels for a weekend and head outside, though, and that’s the plethora of beer festivals coming up in the state! Here are a few of our favorites you can’t miss this season
Winter Brew Fest: It’s going to be chilly in January but what better excuse to warm yourself up with a cold mug of a winter brew? Various craft breweries will be out displaying their seasonal best sellers and it’s always a hopping good time.
Boulder Brew and Music Festival: Early November plays host to the Boulder music fest and you’ll catch a number of great craft beers here, as well. There should be food and dancing as well and it’s a great excuse to milk the last of the “warm” Colorado weather.
Portland Holiday Ale Festival: Okay, so this one’s in Oregon but what a great reason for a road trip! You’ll find all kinds of holiday beers and spirits and Portland’s going to be a bit warmer than Colorado.

Are you planning on visiting Colorado sometime in the near future? If so, you may be wondering if attending a brewery tour while in the area is right for you. I will be more than happy to assist you with this.

There are numerous advantages to attending one of the Colorado brewery tours. For starters, it’s really quite interesting to learn about the entire process of how beer is manufactured. You will learn step by step how beer is actually made & also the various steps that go into packaging it up and getting it ready to be shipped out to the stores.

Many of the brewery tours in Colorado offer free admission so it is definitely a great way to stretch your budget while vacationing. Many of the breweries even offer free samples of their beers to those ages 21 and up which of course is an added plus. Also, children are typically allowed to attend the brewery tours as long as they have an adult accompanying them.

For all of the reasons I mentioned above plus many more, the Colorado brewery tours truly have so much to offer! I hope you have a great time at the breweries!

Colorado is very proud of its breweries. It is the home to some big name beers, but also can lay claim to more than a hundred microbreweries. For an ultimate beer experience take a tour offering tastings of their brews, both commercial and exclusive to the premises, unique and fun brews that are not for sale, but only for sampling. These fun brews may have unusual flavorings, or special histories. For the vacationer who is over twenty one, a brewery tour is a trip of a lifetime. Included in the brewery experience may be an opportunity to see all the steps of producing the beer, and often there are free tastings included in the package. Typically a few samples of custom beers are served and tours generally are led by people who love their work and are passionate about producing flavorful beers. Whether you favor lager, stout or ale a brewery tour is an opportunity to see it, smell it and taste it and enjoy the ambiance. All the while enjoying the company of other tourists who love beer. On tours you may enjoy music, snacks and wonderful scenic Colorado vistas while partaking of the favorite beverage of the hour, beer.Keep looking, there’s more: Guide to Finding Good Beer at the 2011 ASAE Annual Meeting in St. Louis

A beer lover should never pass on the chance to visit or explore Colorado. Colorado has more breweries than any other state making it a top destination to tour and taste many new types of beer. During the fall months of the year there are many great beer festivals that are a must.

The biggest beer festival is the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. This year the festival runs from Sept. 29 – Oct. 1, but unfortunately, the festival has already been sold out. The festival will celebrate its 30 year anniversary this year and will have the usual tastings, beer contest and booths from hundreds of breweries.

The next festival is the Ska Brewing 16th Anniversary Party and Brewers Invitational in Durango, Colorado running Sept. 24. The festival will feature the toasters and 15 of the region’s best brewers.

If the festivals are sold out or are too crowded try The Bolder Brew Bus. Once boarding Banjo Billy’s private bus a tour of three of the best breweries await. The first stop is at Upslope Brewery which was named “Best New Breweries in Colorado.” The next stop is Twisted Pine Brewery where tastings will include two beers that won Gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival. Lastly, at Avery Brewing Company passengers will experience their 240 barrel outdoor fermentation vessel.More info here: The Great British Beer Festival has more than 700 ways to quench your thirst
